About This Song
If the resurrection of Jesus really happened it would be one of the three most significant events in the history of our world, the other two being the creation of the universe from nothing and the manifestation of God in human form in the person of Jesus. If these three wonders are not enough, consider the amazing invitation for us to participate in the resurrection of Jesus and experience our own bodily resurrection and victory over death? Now that would be a paradigm shift to sing about.
Lyrics
"Let Me Be There"
by Doug McNeel

Let me be there, let me be there, on that great and glorious day
When the clouds of sin and sorrow have been finally stripped away.
Let me be there, let me be there, to behold that brilliant light.
When the graves have all been opened and the world has been set right.

Anticipating the sound of the trumpet call,
Watching and waiting for the Savior of us all,
Looking to Jesus to redeem the broken time,
May we celebrate with unceasing praise
The union of the human and the divine.

Let me be there, let me be there, when the mystery is unveiled
And the meaning of our sorrows is revealed and good prevails.
Let me be there, let me be there, to eat from the Tree of Life
And drink from the living waters which heal and purify.

Let me be there, let me be there, when the Age of Grace has come
Through the suffering and healing and compassion of the Son.
Let me be there, let me be there, when I look into his eyes
And his nail-pierced hands embrace me and hold me by his side,
When the loving arms of Jesus hold me closely by his side.
Let me be there. Let me be there. Let me be there.
